Hi Marc,
Great query. Can I ask, are you running a formal experiment? Will you be doing anything with this information?
I had a completely different answer written out and then I went back and looked at what you were really asking. So, how often does my organization regularly pursue opportunities for improvement? 8 We have leaders who change things quite frequently in the quest to be a better organization and meet our mission. What we don't do well, is pursue opportunity for improvement with integrity to the methods. What I mean by that statement is, there is very little cyclical, systematic strategies toward improvement. Only in pockets (from my viewpoint) is it regularly that someone would do a root cause analysis, analyze the current state, design a future state, gather baseline data prior to making changes, and then make changes and check against variables to see what worked and what didn't. I'm a big proponent of Mark Friedman's Results-based Accountability (RBA) and our organization is just now adopting his method widely. My hope is if you ask this question a gain in two years, I don't have to add the caveat.
-Warmly,
Amy Kay
