How to correctly verify the depth of a threaded hole...
Hello,

We are trying to verify the depth of a threaded hole. What is the best method to do so? We have found that checking it with a plug gage VS a screw varies up to .060 with the screw going in further. we believe this is due to the imperfection at the start of our plug gage. The tolerance we are given is +/- .010.

Thanks,

Order the Go Thread Member with Whistle notches at the min and Max Depth.
Do the same for the Go Pin Gage to check the Hole Diameter.
