In the August edition of The Lean & Six Sigma Review I wrote a short article about some fundamental practices of conducting time studies. Time studies are necessary evils of good quality efforts. Without a solid understanding of a current state it's impossible to improve and innovate in any meaningful way.
To this end, I developed a tool for time studies that has helped make the grueling task much easier. And for this reason, I think it's a great innovation within the quality community. I'm sharing a demo of the tool below.
