The US Department of Energy’s (DoE) 50001 Ready recognition program is a self-attestation program for companies interested in complying with the basics of the ISO 50001:2018 energy management standard, but not interested in actual certification to the standard. This is a good first step for companies interested in stepping up their energy management system beyond an energy team and project-focused energy efficiency capital investments.
