Has anyone had success with developing a pictorial control plan? Looking at the top documentation for our workforce, that is made up of many employees where English is a second language, I would like to implement as many pictorial instructions as possible. I’ve been trying to determine the best way to present the information in the control plan (in manufacturing) that can be easily understood by all employees.

The easiest way would be to find images, icons, whatever that represent each column of a control plan: Picture of the part, picture of the machine, picture of product, spec tolerance drawing, control chart, whatever. I've also used stick figures:
Part/ Process Number | Process Name/ Operation Description | Machine, Device, Jig, Tools, for Mfg. | No. | Product | Process | Special Char. Class | Product/Process Specification/ Tolerance | Evaluation/ Measurement Technique | Size | Freq. | Control Method | Reaction Plan |
