The HD&L Division is looking for volunteers for the following committees:


- Marketing & Communications
- Webinar/Panel
- Book of Knowledge
- Volunteer Coordination

When it comes to volunteering there are some important requirements. These requirements are passion, positivity and respect.

The most valuable assets a volunteer can bring to a team is an open mind, and a positive attitude. Open to learn, share, brainstorm, and discuss items/ topics that are important for our Division, and for the community.

HOW TO APPLY

Please note each committee has multiple tasks which can be delegated to other volunteers in the committee. The role of the chair is to build the committee and recruit more if needed.

WEBINAR/PANEL - SUBMISSION

Please note Webinars and Panels are handled in US eastern time around 3 PM as such keep this in mind when applying from regions with a long time difference. If that does still work for you, please provide the following:

- cv/resume
- any prior experience with event planning
- experience with Webex webinar/training scheduling modules
- experience or interest in moderating
- experience with speaker recruiting
- other which you think are relevant to this role
- any references
- any experience volunteering at other professional organizations
- time commitment a month (note an average time of 4-6 hours a month is an estimated time this role might take). We handle in average 3 panels a year with 2-3 other ad hoc events.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS - SUBMISSION

- time commitment a month (note an average time of 6-8 hours a month is estimated but can be shared if you recruit more volunteers in your team)

BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE - SUBMISSION

- experience content delivery

- time commitment a month (note an average time of 6-8 hours a month is estimated but can be shared if you recruit more volunteers in your team)

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION - SUBMISSION

- cv/resume
- any references
- experience coordinating volunteers from onboarding to offboarding
- time commitment a month (note an average time of 2-3 hours a month is estimated but varies depending on how many times a year there are new entries)
