Welcome

The Binghamton section of the American Society for Quality is affiliated with ASQ National. We are a local chapter of quality professionals. We meet monthly between September and June to discuss quality topics. We provide a monthly presentation to our members to aid in their professional development. Our section offers its members a great chance to network with others in the quality profession. Our membership spans a wide range of industries and businesses from services, medical, manufacturing and consulting. Our section is also proud to sponsor student chapters at Broome Community College and Binghamton University

Our Heritage

The ASQ is a global community of experts and is the leading authority on quality in all fields, organizations, and industries.  It advances the professional development, credentials, and advocacy on behalf of its more than 85,000 members worldwide.  As a champion of the quality movement, ASQ members are driven by a sense of responsibility to enrich their lives, to improve their workplaces and communities, and to make the world a better place by applying quality tools, techniques, and systems. The Binghamton section was started in 1947… just one year after the National ASQ organization was formed. At the local level, we promote ourselves as champions of quality in business, education, healthcare, service, and government. We work to continually improve many aspects of our daily lives through the application of quality improvement activities. In 2017, we celebrated 75 years of service to the Southern Tier of New York.

The Global Voice of Quality

ASQ is a global community of people dedicated to quality who share the ideas and tools that make our world work better. With millions of individual and organizational members of the community in 150 countries, ASQ has the reputation and reach to bring together the diverse quality champions who are transforming the world’s corporations, organizations, and communities to meet tomorrow’s critical challenges. ASQ is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with Regional Centers in North Asia, South Asia, Middle East and Africa (MEA), and Latin America.
